This attractive and contemporary single storey rear home extension in South Liverpool was substantially fabricated off-site and assembled in-situ at the client’s home. The contemporary architectural language contrasts suitably with the host property, a typical 1930’ three-bedroom semi-detached house.
The extension differs from many single storey home extensions insofar as it is connected to its host property only via a small anti-space. The extension itself containing an en-suite bedroom opening onto a raised deck area that looks onto the property’s attractive rear garden. In addition to the extension, works also included a stylish new kitchen and anti-space between the main house and new extension accommodating additional storage.
The contemporary palette of materials is thoroughly modern, consisting of a textured insulated render, vertical timber rainscreen cladding and a hybrid timber and aluminium curtain wall system.
