Tom Black Architects was very proud to be invited by noodle chain restaurant, Wok to Walk to act as executive architect on the delivery of their first outlet in the north west. Tom Black Architects was commissioned to deliver the fit out of the restaurant in line with Wok to Walk’s signature interior and signage which has been designed by prestigious Dutch practice, Tank.
The fit out saw the refurbishment of a retail unit that had previously operated as another food outlet be transformed into Wok to Walk’s bright lively counter service noodle bar with seating for forty-four customers.
Tank’s design sees the restaurant divided into two ‘zones’, concrete and wood; concrete being the counter area and wok station, the wood zone been the seating area.
Tom Black Architects worked very closely with the client in developing the back of house areas that provide staff generous welfare accommodation without compromising the seating provided in the front of house.
